We believe in building a collaborative relationship with our clients. You start working with us by having a free 30-minute discovery conversation about your group/organization’s needs. From there, we will customize your workshop based on the modality (in person, virtual, or hybrid), size of audience, desired interactivity, how many workshop sessions are needed, etc.
We aim for our workshops to involve creative thinking, self-reflection, and communal sharing. We also create supplemental resources that participants can take with them.
Pricing depends on the specifications of the workshop. We encourage prospective clients to propose what they need and the budget they are working with, and we can let you know what we can offer. Typically our fee has ranged from $1000-$5000 for a single workshop session.
If you were to draw an Asian person, how would you start? You may want to emphasize the shape of the eye or include a culturally specific detail like a bindi. But is this racist? This workshop dives into the history of Asian representation through comics and cartoons. We touch upon the “yellow peril” caricatures of the 19th century, the popularization of anime and manga, and the rise of Asian American graphic artists representing themselves. Participants will explore the tensions between fetishization, erasure, and fantasy, thus raising the question– Can animation transcend race?
